The Men and Families Center, Inc. (#MFC) is a 501(c) (3) non-profit and holistic family services agency. Our mission is to create safer, more resilient men, women, children and families by supporting them in developing their inner strengths, life skills, parenting skills and networks of resources through holistic approaches that move them towards self-sufficiency and self- empowerment.
For more than 20 years, The Men and Families Center, Inc.(#MFC) has demonstrated that men, women, children and families can be their own healers with the proper life skills and counseling. Even the most overwhelmed individuals can tap hidden springs of resilience and discover their own competence and hope; the most disruptive children can thrive when security and support provided by their parents and or families replaces chaos and inconsistency in their lives. Families can change, and with them, communities can become more productive and vital.
The Men and Families Center, Inc. is committed to providing effective and respectful programs for men, women, children and families that help them grow their own natural strengths. While we serve some intact couples, most of our clients are single parents, grandparents with custody of their grandchildren, re-entry parents or other guardians. These individuals are referred to the Men and Families Center, Inc. by many community partners including schools, health centers, social service agencies, recovery center, state agencies and word-of-mouth.
The Men and Families Center, Inc. is a human and supportive service non-profit organization who strives to improve the quality of relationships between parents and their children, thus enhancing the preservation of families. The Center is a coordinating place for East Baltimore and their families that increases the accessibility of services and specific needs through a holistic array of services that are designated to meet adults where they are and move them towards self-improvement.
The Center is a nexus of the Greater East Baltimore community, creating greater access to services and a community awareness for residents. We address specific needs through a holistic array of services that are designed to meet men or women where they are and move them towards self empowerment.
